Access Control
Managing team access and ensuring the right people have the right permissions is a common challenge for growing businesses. That’s why we’ve built a simple but powerful Access-Control system into Sprintso — specifically designed for small business teams.
Whether you're just starting out or scaling up, our role-based access control (RBAC) ensures your team can work efficiently and securely.
Why Access Control Matters
When teams grow, responsibilities diverge. You don’t want your front-line staff accessing sensitive financial settings, and you don’t want to bottleneck productivity by over-restricting your team.
Our solution makes it easy to assign access based on real-world roles, ensuring the right balance of control and flexibility.
🎭 Roles & Permissions: Who Gets Access to What? Each team member in [Your SaaS Tool Name] is assigned a role when they’re added to the workspace. Their role determines what features they can see and what actions they can take.
Here’s a high-level overview of each role:
Role | Description | Key Permissions |
---|---|---|
Root Admin | The owner or primary administrator. Typically the person who sets up the account. | Full access to all features, including billing, user management, settings, and all teams. |
Admin | Trusted team leaders who help manage settings and users. | Access to most administrative tools, can manage users (except Root-Admin), edit workspace settings, and assign roles. |
Manage | Mid-level leaders managing daily operations. | Access to project or department-specific features, can create and assign tasks, view team progress. Cannot edit global settings. |
Worker | Team members executing tasks. | Access to task lists, reports, and communication tools relevant to their assigned work. Cannot manage users or settings. |
✅ Tip: You can see exactly what each role can access next to each feature throughout the app.
🗂️ A Real-World Example Let’s say you're a digital marketing agency using [Your SaaS Tool Name].
You as the founder are the Root-Admin.
Your operations head is set as an Admin.
Department leads (like SEO and Social Media) are Managers.
Content writers and designers are Workers.
With this setup:
Your workers focus only on the tools they need.
Managers oversee and delegate.
Admins adjust configurations.
Only you handle billing or company-wide changes.
This structure helps prevent accidental misconfigurations or data leaks — and keeps your team focused on what matters most.
🌐 How to Assign Roles Assigning roles is simple:
Go to your Team Settings.
Click “Add Member” or edit an existing one.
Choose the appropriate role from the dropdown.
Save — and done!
You can change roles anytime, and changes take effect immediately.
🛡️ Security Meets Simplicity We built this access system with three things in mind:
Clarity – roles are easy to understand and assign.
Control – every feature checks access before displaying options.
Compliance – reduce the risk of errors or unauthorized actions.
And most importantly, it grows with your team.
🧭 Coming Soon: Feature-Based Custom Access While our role-based system works for most teams, we know some businesses need more fine-tuned control. We’re actively working on feature-level access permissions — allowing even more customization within roles. Stay tuned!
